Lol, alright, busted. 8)

I have been taking the occasional screenshot here and there, and the roster of AddOns I'm using has been pretty stable for weeks now. I will definitely try to get a "quick and dirty" version up this week (that is, the files and a few screenshots, but not the bulk of the ReadMe).

Two big changes to the aesthetic look of things though, either one of which (or both) may be an annoyance to some. First, I've been using a HUD (IceHud specifically) to clear up even more screen real estate, and have been loving it. I'm still using Pitbull, but only for frames like Party, Focus, and Target of Target ... all Player and Target info is from the HUD.

Second, I've gone back to using a Viewport (SunnArt specifically) to, once again, clear up even more screen real estate. I know a lot of folks rail against viewports, mistakenly thinking they reduce viewable area when in fact they increase it (similar to how a lot of people misunderstand letterbox formats), but I'll try to address that with some example pics of with and without.

Hopefully the MookUI of today will still be something you find useful. :approval:

Just so ya know I haven't been slacking. 8)

This week I started prepping the files, stripping out the unnecessary stuff (of which there is much), and getting (mostly) new screenshots of all but the last few AddOns.

Didn't quite get everything done, but it's looking good. Weekend's usually got a lot going on, but I'm hoping to finally and truly, really, have an upload by middle of next week.

As always, thanks for your interest and patience. :approval:

Some quick screenies to give you a feel for what I've been using lately. Here it is in Dalaran with nothing targeted. Look at all that beautiful space! 8)

And here's the same spot with myself targeted:

File comment: Target, Focus Target, and Target of Target

The curved bars on the left are the Player Health and Mana (Rage, Power, whatever); the curved bars on the right are the Target Health and Mana (in this case, they're the same since I'm targeting myself); the text info below is from the Target (buffs show to the left, debuffs show to the right).

That's the IceHUD - in addition to that, I'm using Pitbull to show a frame for Target of Target (on the right), and my Focus Target (on the left). Takes a bit to get used to, but I've been very happy with it - everything I need is smack dab in center screen.

And here, a quick note on the addition of a Viewport. Here's the same shot as above, but with the Viewport turned off:

Attachment:
File comment: No Viewport
UI_noviewport.jpg
UI_noviewport.jpg [ 300.23 KiB | Viewed 11172 times ]

You'll notice that using the Viewport bottom bar to place all my chat windows, minimap, Omen, Recount, etc. is actually giving me more viewable area, not less. Comparing the two shots, note that the top and bottom views are the same (top of the barbershop tree on the top, building roof on the bottom), but without the viewport the left only shows one shield shaped window (with the viewport it shows two) and the right only shows out to the blue banner (with the viewport, two more windows and a tree are visible).

Interested in what you think of the new look.

Here's a list of all the AddOns to be included in the eventual .zip file (I took out a few of the large AddOns that don't change anything in the UI itself, like Lightheaded and AtlasLoot ... figure if people want those they can just grab 'em themselves).

Heya! 8)

Okay, so it ain't pretty, but I do have a download available for the current version of MookUI.

If I wait until it's all polished up, then Patch 3.2 will be released, and a lot of the AddOns may need to be updated or changed, then we're talking like more weeks and months before I get around to it.

Sooo - anyone who wants the bare bones can get it here:

http://www.themook.net/files/wow/MookUI_TEMP.zip

Let me know if ya have any questions or problems, hopefully someday I can get the ReadMe full of screenshots and video clips back up to snuff. 8)

Lol, oopsie - yeah, I should probably remove the 'bindings-cache' files from the upload, I don't think most people would appreciate the way my keys are set up. Delete the 'bindings-cache' files and the game should start you off with a fresh, default keybinding set. 8)

Any questions at all just fire away, I'll do my best to help. Some of the AddOns with Profile support, you may be able to load one of my profiles (usually "Spytte") to speed up configuration.

Are you running 1440 x 900? UI Scale at 0.64? (That's what I'm using).

Fire away, and good luck. 8)

OMG its done!

I got 2 jobs recently so I have been terribly busy, but I got it up and running, with small modifications to it for my own style of course.

Thanks so much for the posting because its wonderful. I'll get a screenie up someday soon to show you what I've done with it. :devilhorns:
