So ever since the latest round of foolishness with DRG, the comment spam to this blog has gone from 1 or 2 entries a day to almost 50 a day. You know, comments full of nonsense words and dozens of links to all kinds of crap sites, that sort of thing.

Usually none of them are actually posted, thanks to automated spam blocking software, but I was curious as to why the sudden increase. Of course I would never accuse DRG servers of directly targeting a site they don’t approve of without proof. I did learn something interesting though.

Remember ‘DeathBG’, who was an obvious shill for DRG? His IP information tracks back to here:

I looked up the info for the IPs of the last 10 spam posts – 8 of those 10 IPs resolved to the exact same information.

(Which reminds me – I always keep redundant copies of TheMook.Net archived off-line, so no worries there … but if the site does get hacked, I think we all know from where such an attack would come).

Hello Mook,

I have decided to act under this situation.

Comments you have made and others have made are extremely out of order, The people that have made comments including your self are actually apart of your community some from others i will agree but mainly your community.

I will grant the fact that this situation should have been long gone.

Before i start i would like to tell everyone the situation to how this come around.

First of all we where in proceedings with buying the company Heretic-Hosting.com, They came to us asking if we would purchase them for X amount. We of course where thinking more for the clients than ourselves said yes.

As Heretic-Hosting stated he will be removing all servers / services we began to think that they would have nothing online to use for there gaming services.

Too cut a long story short this transaction was fraudulent, The purchase of Heretic-Hosting.com was away of making money without having to provide a service.

3 Days after purchase Heretic-Hosting was back online we had basically been scammed.

All clients involved where in some way associated with Heretic-Hosting.

We sent out applogie notices to all of Heretics clients some of which needed hosting for 12 months as heretic-hosting as taken money and had not provided a service.

We as a company decided for the best to terminate all clients that came from Heretic-Hosting for legal reasons.

We have contacted a legal business authority and are filing the claim in court.

Again i am personally extremely sorry for all inconvenience this has caused to the public.

Sorry but i had to add a few other things before leaving this blog.

Heretic-Hosting has done this to many other companys 4 of which in my understandings.

The 4 companys involved i have had words with in some form of way.

Sorry to hear you feel you were scammed by Heretic-Hosting (though that has absolutely zero to do with us, not clear on why you didn’t post on Heretic’s site instead?).

For what it’s worth, we never received a “applogie notice” as you claim all your Heretic clients did.

By the way – our clan is still owed a $25 refund from DRG.

Mook, i had some issues with drg in the past but they solved my problems. also i purchased a server for another month but when i called up lee he gave me my refund within minutes. sorry to hear about your troubles but my problem was solved i hope yours is too.

Glad to hear – though to be fair, it should be noted that past offers to honor our refund were only proffered with the understanding that I would expunge all reference to DRG from TheMook.Net, which we still find unacceptable.

I have no problem refunding you nor do i have a problem refunding anyone else.

All though our terms of service do still apply.

I will refund you no problem, All though i would still prefer if we had a chat over the phone.

Its not that i want these posts removed, It is the fact of Mr Heretic Hosting and your self taking advantage of it.

I have some letters back from my solicitors who has actually come on to this site and had alittle look at a few things. He was not happy to be perfectly honest and thinks that it is truly unprofessional, As other people have stated this issue should have been dealt between me and you only.

I will speak to my solicitor regarding all posts on this web site. He has stated the following.

WOW. This is *exactly* the kind of thing I’m talking about – as I clearly, explicitly stated, I CURRENTLY DO NOT HAVE A STABLE EMAIL ADDRESS. As I also clearly, explicitly stated, MY PAYPAL ADDRESS IS ALL OVER THE SITE – IT IS ‘mook@themook.net’.

You can refund at any time, the fact that I cannot send/receive email to that address does not in any conceivable way affect my ability to receive PayPal payments to the account it is attached to.

It has been exactly one week since Lee from DRG wrote “I have no problem refunding you…”, “I will refund you no problem…”, “As i have stated i will refund regardless whether the posts are removed…”, and “Please mook when your ready for your refund email me your paypal email address.”

Is anyone surprised that we STILL have not received the refund?

I thought not.

Shame on you Lee. Luckily I was able to borrow the money needed to pay our server fees this month, as I clearly stated that your promised refund was very much needed (which I have to assume is why it was not forthcoming).

(Please don’t hide behind the fact that I’ve been unable to send email – you posted comment #5 on 09/13/2007, I responded with #6 thirteen hours later, you followed up again with #7 twelve hours after that, clearly you are able to follow a simple conversation. I have no choice but to assume malice on your part by, once again, failing to live up to your word).

You don’t seem to understand that it is your own actions that continue to exacerbate this issue – ALL WE WANT IS THE REFUND WE DESERVE FROM OVER A YEAR AGO. You know, the one that you keep saying you will issue, but never do?

In a way I’m sad to see DRG go … at least folks had a -chance- of finding all these comments before they hooked up with DRG and got screwed.

Now they’re just going to be out there in the ether with some new company, under some new name, waiting in their web for the flies to come.

Well we had to sites that were resellers through DRG SERVERS ( and we were making good money), until Lee Benson and Michael Gibson decided to stop paying for their services 3 months ago knowing that infomart and the other company would stop services. This has left not only my 2 buisness’ in the black, and making refunds to clients, but has totally screwed hundreds of clients of drg servers and clients of all of the resellers accounts that drg has sold. We have decided to go ahead and take Michael and Lee both to court and sue the shit out of these idiots. After a little looking into we have also realized that lee has had his hands in a few other compainies as well and we have informed them of his wrong doing as well. So just a note to everyone, anything that LEE BENSON or MICHAEL GIBSON has to do with, its a big ass scam and i would definatly not recommend doing any type of buisness transactions with these people.Good luck in the future LEE ohh and yea, we will see you in court soon…

i here they also have something to do with directclanhosting.com to just warn you, because i know for a fact that directclanhosting.com purchased servers and resellers from DRG, and for some reason they are still online, so you know, also it is run by a 16 year old, who got a lot of help from lee.

Well you say this kids 16, my friend started his when he was 17 and he is now 19 and richer then me, thats for sure… its not all to do with age, but i do think its alittle weird that he is helping children start hosting companys… dont you? I am 16 yes and i did have servers from drgservers. But i had U.S machines with lee before he went down. I stoped with him a few months before we went bust.

I don’t speak to Lee anymore and now i only sell UK Hosting but U.S.A Web hosting.
